CIRCULAR MANHOLE FOR STORM DRAINAGE SECTION

Precast circular type manholes (Unlined) are widely used for storm drainage purposes. Manhole elements are produced in accordance with ASTM C 478 standards. Manholes sizes from 900 mm internal dia up to 3500 mm are being produced in our factory.

The Manhole depth can be adjusted using various manhole elements (risers and adjustment rings) according to the site requirements. The manholes are installed with PE Coated steel steps @30 cm c.c. and externally coated with bitumen emulsion. Joints of the elements shall be made using mortar or sealant at the site. We also produce various types of inspection chambers, catch basins and square type manholes.

CIRCULAR MANHOLE FOR
SEWERAGE LINE SECTION

Precast circular type manholes lined with (PVC, HDPE & GRP) are widely used for sewerage system, to prevent chemical attack from the sewerage water and to prevent damages arising out of such contamination and chemical reaction. In addition epoxy coated manholes are also being manufactured based on the customer’s project specifications.

CIRCULAR MANHOLE SIZES WITH TAPER RISER

SQUARE MANHOLES & CHAMBERS FOR DRAINAGE WORKS

Precast concrete manholes and chambers can be manufactured in square or rectangular sections for the bases. A transition slab to circular sections above the base. A series of risers above the transition slab mounted up to the required heights. These are in accordance with the project’s designs. Examples of the dimensions are shown in the table below. Other dimensions can also be manufactured per the project drawings.

PVC / HDPE T-GRIP LINING PREPARATION

The raw material received in the form of ribbed sheets. Inside our plastic workshop, skilled labors with efficient tools, cut and weld the sheets together to the specified sizes and shapes ready to be transferred to the concrete production areas..

Jointing sections of the liner is accomplished by

  1. Butt weld : both edges are heated and mechanically joined.
  2. Overlap weld : approximately 20 mm. of both sheet ends are heated, until fusion of the two plastic surfaces is obtained.
  3. Jointing of sections of the liner may be achieved by fusing a welding strip over the joint using a hot air gun.

PVC / HDPE T-GRIP LINING APPLICATION

The preformed T-Liner is placed on the inner forms of the production molding system. When the concrete poured, the “T”s as embedded are locked into concrete. Thus, the liner forms an integral part of the manufactured precast concrete element.


GRP LINING PREPARATION

  1. For Manhole Liner : GRP liner is received in tube form for circular sections and flat shape for flat sections. The tubes are delivered at the cutting zone, using mechanical cutting saws, the tube liner is cut to the exact length of the concrete pipe or manhole. Then shifted to the concrete manufacturing zone. Set around an expandable inner mould (core). Set reinforcement cage with the outer mould, then place concrete.
  2. For Pipe Liner : GRP is received in pipe form with couplers and prepared at the GRP factory to the standard length of the concrete pipe with additional length for jointing purpose. Same process as above, for reinforcement and concreting is followed.
